I love Phoenix so much.

This tattoo was developed in collaboration with a friend who doesn’t want to be thanked publicly. She made sure I understood all of this, including the cultural appropriation information. There are some beautiful tattoo examples if you google Borneo rose.

I love this moment between them. Ash working her way past Phoenix’s walls just by being her.

This was an important realization for me as I wrote this.

This is how my wife cooks. Her nuggets are phenomenal.

This could be seen as an overreaction, and is, but because trauma is a bitch. Not because I needed a conflict here.

I genuinely didn’t understand this until my wife explained it. And even after 22 years together, I’m still the dreamer reminding her that she’s allowed to dream.

As someone who never really dated I may have googled this.

I didn’t get to fly the C130 over Antarctica but I did briefly fly a little Cessna in high school and learned this first hand.

Don’t think many would disagree with this statement.

I don’t think this existed when I went to Antarctica but I discovered it on YouTube. Definitely check out the videos because it’s truly fascinating.

This is an argument I’ve had too often. Thankfully we’re both getting better about this thanks to therapy.

I wish everything that follows were an exaggeration but it isn’t. It’s a far too common story for people raised by addicts. This was important for me to include because I want people like my wife and my friends to see that they are absolutely worthy of love and their abuse was not their fault. If this hits close to home, I’m sorry. Everyone deserves love.

Sex and sexuality can be complicated.
