To walk a dog without allowing them to sniff is akin to taking children to the circus and not allowing them to watch. If I could choose only one enrichment activity to improve a dog’s life it would be allowing them to stop and sniff. It’s not just about letting them sniff, it’s about allowing them to be a dog.
