I prefer him thinking of me as plain, not at all like James described me. Men only ever see my outward appearance, they don’t give a shit as long as I’m attractive. No one ever seems to look beyond my face. Or maybe there’s nothing beyond it worth looking for. I wouldn’t blame them if that’s everyone’s reasoning for never getting close to me.
