Do something you love or that stirs joy within you: Cuddle your pet, FaceTime your lover, give yourself a facial or pedicure, go for a run, listen to your favourite song or poem. It will be different for each of us, but when we are in the grips of ego and fear-driven emotion, it is important to connect with our joy and do something that lifts our mood. It may not banish the difficult feelings straight away, but it will reduce them and from there you can restore and fortify yourself.
