Lindsey had to do a double take when she passed by a beautiful white-picket-fenced house surrounded by rosebushes, with a sign in front that read DUKES COUNTY JAIL. When she looked closer, she saw that the windows had iron bars inside. Edgartown was like an alternate universe in which even criminals seemed to be living the white-picket-fence dream.
