The truth can hurt sometimes, especially for someone who is lost. This causes a lot of us to turn a deaf ear to the whispers of our hearts. One reason we don’t enjoy hearing harsh truths is because of judgment. The brain (or in this example, the ego) specializes in judging, labeling, and creating narratives.
