“Funny story time, Luna. You may want to sit down for this one. There were, as it happens, no other girls. None. I actually waited for you. I’m. A. Goddamn. Fucking. Virgin! Let that sink in for a second.”
“The first words she ever speaks to me in her life, and she decides to break my heart with them. For the longest time, I wished I could unthink you. Unlove you. Unbreathe you. I think I finally can.”
“Stop being a hypocrite,” I yelled in his face, unable to take it anymore. “You have a girlfriend now. You moved on. You don’t have the right to get mad when I kiss other people. You don’t own me.” As soon as I clamped my mouth shut, I remembered we weren’t alone. I stumbled away from Vaughn, still at my back, until I hit the wall. When I turned, Vaughn stared at me in disbelief. The room spun like a ball gown before my eyes, the colors and shapes blurring together. “Say something,” Vaughn ordered, clamping a hand on my shoulder. “To me, Luna.”
never asked you to forgive me.” I smiled tiredly. “See?” She shook her head, slipping from me. From us. But I wasn’t ready. I wanted her tortured, not gone. “Ride or die, Luna Rexroth,” I yelled to her back. “You’re my ride or die.”

I don’t mind him settling on another quiet planet afterwards. He needs to move on, Luna.”
“Oh, and Lu?” April smiled, just as I was about to close the MacBook. “You’re not the girl I met the first day we arrived at Boon. You’re much stronger. Make sure he knows that.”
Life is like a book, a long chain of scenes threaded together by circumstances and fate. You never know how thick or thin your book is, so you better make the most out of every scene, enjoy each chapter.”
“Sorry,” I said again when I buckled up. “About my dad. Not about being born.” “Zip it, Knight.” “Yes, ma’am.”
“Go and save your princess, my love.” I kissed his forehead. “She is waiting. Besides, that’s what knights do.”
“You come here right now and tell me the L word if you want to be my awful-wedded husband.”
“It started with an abandoned toddler in a soiled diaper, but the plot twist was a boy with busted knuckles and a heart of gold…”
