Caste cartography also needs further attention. Currently, the caste order is presented in the graded hierarchical system with one’s occupation determining one’s caste. This map, however, is an incomplete and unjust description of the caste system. Along with the description of jobs, the demographic representation of each caste group needs to be done in comparison to the ratio of the population and its representation in positions of power.
