“Have I told you how exceptionally beautiful you look tonight, Darcy?”
“This is amazing,” I laughed, my voice echoing back to me. “You're not mad I dragged you to the bottom of a pool then?” he teased.
“You're not mad I dragged you to the bottom of a pool then?” he teased.
He moved closer and rested his hands either side of me on the wall. “I think the time for sirs and professors is over, don't you?”
He devoured the space between us and I experienced pure sin as his mouth crushed against mine. It was gunpowder meeting fire and the result was an all-consuming blaze which burned me up from the inside out.
“No, I think we should go back to reality now.” The longer I stay, the harder it will be to leave.
“Lance?” I whispered and he stood up straighter in response to that. “If I can't call you Blue, you're not calling me that.”
If she wanted me dead, then I'd stay alive to spite her. Amongst other reasons.
You kissed The Savage King's daughter you moron.
“I’m not chasing after her,” he snarled. “I saved her from herself. She insulted him right to his face, if I hadn’t stood between them fuck knows what he would have done to her.”
“Maybe you were thinking with your dick and not your head.” Darius kicked at the floor, looking away from me. “That's not the point. We still need them gone.”
“Cheat,” I breathed as my heart pounded. “Only a little,” he admitted. Before I could say anything else, he leaned forward and kissed me.
“I heard you like it when they shove their horn up your-” “Shut up. I just showed you exactly what I like.” He snorted a laugh.
“I never said I hated you,” he murmured, his voice deep as he tugged me around to face him.
“Do you hate me, then?” he asked quietly and for some strange reason it sounded like the idea of that didn’t sit well with him. I forced myself to reply in a steady tone, holding his eye as I spoke. “No,” I said and a glimmer of relief spilled through his eyes, almost halting me there but I wasn’t quite so blinded by him as to give him a free pass for all his bullshit. “To hate you, I’d have to care about you. And I don’t give one shit about you,” I said coldly.
“Everyone's going to think we're completely insane.” “I'm sorry did you say that to me or to the raven on my shoulder?” Tory asked.
“I’ll pass your complaints on to Caleb,” Darius replied, though his jaw tightened as he said it, making me believe my hook up with Caleb pissed him off far more than trying to taunt me with it would.
“Whereas you prefer your coffee with a bucket of sugar added because you’re just so damn sweet?” he asked sarcastically as he watched me. “No. I like my sugar with a dash of coffee added because I’m bitter.”
“Enjoy it while it lasts, whore,” she snarled at me before stalking away. “It’s sex addict, not whore,” I called after her. “And it’s not cool to mock people for medical afflictions.”
hoping the mystery girl would see it. Little did he know his mystery girl was a six and a half foot Dragon asshole with the shortest fuse I’d ever come across and a temper to rival a hurricane.
“Hey Tory, if you need someone to help you through your sex addiction, PM me on FaeBook!” a guy hollered back at us followed by raucous laughter from his friends. “My addiction only involves sex with attractive guys, so no thanks!”
the fact that there was considerably less hatred in her gaze when she looked his way than what she directed at me. I guessed he hadn’t half drowned her but it still pissed me off.
His fucking hand was on her thigh, skimming the hem of that shirt and for a moment I actually wanted to rip his arm off.
“Why don’t you fuck off while you’ve still got some teeth left?”
his mouth parting. “Lucky you trust me,” he growled and my eyebrows shot up. Do I?
Darius swung his head around to look at me, one huge, golden eye reflecting back the image of a girl who was breaking in half. He snarled at me, striking his nose against my chest to knock me back a step. As I stumbled away from him, he struck me again, a deep growl echoing from his throat as he urged me to run.
So fucking bossy,” I snapped, shoving his big Dragon face aside as I moved closer to him instead. “You probably are stubborn enough to die here rather than let me help you.”
You...” he began but he didn’t finish what he’d been going to say. His hand moved over hers for a moment, holding it in place against his cheek as he held her eye.
