A lot of black people have this idea that if they can become like our white counterparts we’ll be accepted, because that is the lie that has been fed to us from a very young age. Truth is no matter what we do we’ll be see as different.the smart black girl, or the non threatening black girl. Moral is they’ll never see us as just ourselves no matter how much we try. Because they will always have this idea of what a POC is supposed to be, and when we aren’t that or break the boundaries of their stereotypes, we’re still black just a different sort of black
