Investigating well over a hundred potential policies, our new, peer-reviewed research identifies twelve policies that each deliver returns worth more than $15 of social benefits for each dollar spent. These investments would supercharge progress toward meeting the world’s goals: for about $35 billion per year, we calculate that we could save 4.2 million lives annually and make the poorer half of the world more than $1 trillion better off every year.
