If Jade had wanted to know whether or not she’d find an alien man attractive, she had her answer. He was more handsome than any man she’d ever seen in person.
Just because she didn’t intend on becoming anyone’s bride didn’t mean she couldn’t objectify a few fine aliens.
She was right. Beautiful didn’t fit. Devastatingly sexy god of war seemed more accurate.
“As you may have noticed, the Clecanian males on this planet outnumber the females twenty to one.” “You don’t say,” Jade commented, feigning disinterest.
It’s a wonder this planet is functioning at all. If seventy percent of Earth women were wiped out, I can’t even imagine what would happen. Wars, slavery, rape. We’d destroy ourselves in a matter of decades.
She felt that although Zikas was a psychopath who was trying to pimp her out to some alien, he was also a romantic and was describing something he would always wish for and never have.
“I’m not sure I follow you,” Jade said in a puzzled tone. “I know he’s a little rough around the edges, but I thought he was the most attractive guy there. I really only chose the other two as backups in case he didn’t want me.”
Dipping his head to the column of her neck, he inhaled deeply and exhaled with a groan.
Theo had never seen a more beautiful creature in his whole life.
It was as though he couldn’t decide whether he wanted to fuck her or kill her.
“How did I get myself into this?” she said absently. “One day I’m at home watching movies, and the next I’m sitting, half-naked, on a countertop within inches of the sexiest man I’ve ever seen.”
“Stupid sexy asshole alien!” she muttered angrily. This was going to be a difficult three months.
“I’ve only felt the soft curves of your body twice, but it’s been the highlight of my year, and I haven’t even seen all of you yet.”
“They refused to get me the pony I wanted for Christmas, so I killed them all. That’s how my life as an assassin began.”
“You earned those scars. You survived. The marks that cover your body are an outward representation of your inner strength. Those marks represent the opposite of weakness, and anyone who thinks differently is an idiot.”
“As I told you before,” he said, clenching his fists, “I enjoy soft things.”
“What in the Game of Thrones did you just say to me?”
He handled the knife like an expert, chopping with fast even strokes. A vein ticked in his large bicep as he worked. She wanted to fan herself. What a man.
“I was just thinking about how I’m sitting in front of a fire in the most beautiful house I’ve ever seen with a dog’s head on my lap, coming off the best orgasm I’ve had in who knows how long, and watching the sexiest man I’ve ever seen making me what I assume will be some more of the greatest food I’ve ever had.”
“I received the highest grade possible in the culinary arts and yet I burned our food three times while cooking this evening. Is that enough confirmation for you?”
“I’m not in control with you, Jade.”
Fear and anticipation clenched her gut as she realized he was toying with her. Letting her get farther away before hunting her down. She’d just unleashed a predator.
He was here; she could sense him watching her. She felt like a stalked animal. A shiver ran down her spine. She liked it.
“Mine.” Theo’s voice was ragged and deeper than she’d ever heard it before.
