Everyone of a certain age has accidentally hurt someone’s feelings or hit or kicked another kid during a game like this, and when that happened, they could see it on the other person’s face. They were in such close proximity, they couldn’t avoid having a reaction. While a sense of community might exist in a digital space, that kind of accountability often doesn’t.
