Pride and Prejudice. Yeah, I liked to read. If you had nothing else, reading was the next best thing, and I loved this book. It was the first one I ever got. It looked rough, but that was because I’d read it so much. Plus, Mr. Darcy was hot.
He hadn’t ordered anything, not even a coffee. Huh… When was the last time I saw him eat something? Anything? Never. I looked up at him, a tired expression on his face. “Don’t tell me…you sparkle?”
It was strange how everyone was acting so…normal. Like this was a regular night, hanging out in a room with four werewolves—shifters. And a vampire. And me, the girl who smells good to them, or something weird. Maybe I was a unicorn?
I hoped I turned into something cool like a unicorn or a dragon.
Well, of course no one needed makeup, but everyone needed a mask, something to hide behind at times. Mine was eyeliner and mascara.
