I don’t identify with that old lifestyle anymore. I am now a new creation in Christ. That old man has passed away (2 Cor. 5:17). In Romans 6:2, Paul gets right to the point: “How can we who died to sin still live in it?” I have died to that old life. That’s not who I am anymore, so why would I use the adjective “gay” to describe myself? Some Christians choose to refer to themselves in this way, but I just find the terminology misleading.
