A pause to celebrate will cost a certain and immediate amount of time out of redwork for the team, and the benefits will be uncertain and in the future. When pressed, the immediate, certain cost supersedes the future uncertain gains. When we pause to celebrate, though, we acknowledge the work we do see, and workers feel valued.
