Standing together, they appeared as if they could slay with a look. Alone they were beautiful, together appeared unstoppable.
“But I did have a home. Home does not have to be a particular building, Nick. What is that anyway but wood or stone? I had my home in another person, in my father’s heart. He may have been eccentric, but he was my home.”
I only wish I had not burnt every bridge when I chose to marry the love of Robert’s life. Perhaps then I could have taken Jules home.
