is time for a united church to call the American people to comprehensive repentance on the basis of a doctrine of sin which accurately defines the sins of doctrinal apostasy, personal iniquity and tolerating or abetting social injustice.

We see then that Christians are responsible to carry out a holistic ministry which cares for people’s bodies as well as their souls and which seeks to change structures as well as hearts.

At present, it may well be that the ruined and partially apostate Christian churches of the Western world stand almost on a level with the Jewish people in their need of redemption and recovery of the heart of the Christian message.
