All selfish pleasures are fleeting and deceitful as a flash of lightening followed by darkness. By that light you can neither read nor reach your destination. Your road will be long and without a guide, deception will drag you mile after mile at night into the wilderness. One moment you stumble against a mountain the next you fall into a river. Because of your fascination with lightening the beams of sunrise have withdrawn from you. You may journey far led only by opinion as insubstantial as lightening. If we are mesmerized by ephemeral sensual gratification then well be lost and dissipated by drowning into deceit and spiteful behavior. As there is no apparently firm and noble reason to strive we'll be smitten by impulsive pleasure rather than following the transcendent ever luminous pristine Light of hope and righteousness.
