Younger women pretend to be engrossed in a Very Important Conversation on their smartphones, looking up at the departures board in a don’t-talk-to-me-I’m-multi-tasking kind of a way and using the arm holding the device to shield them from their victims. Both of these techniques were impressive in their brazenness.
