“It was Darius?” I asked in a hollow voice, the fight going out of me in a heartbeat. I deserved anything he wanted to throw at me. “Of course it was! Who the fuck else would it have been?” Max bellowed and his anger crashed into me as his emotions danced on the air and his Siren gifts flared.
I read the star crossed situation two weeks ago. Im still shattered about it.
“It was the stars,” Max growled suddenly, dropping down to sit on the bottom step and pushing his hands through his hair. “They’re already working to force them apart…”

I took a few more steps away and flinched as Darius caught my hand, but before I could question what he was doing, he pressed a small, black box into my palm. “Sorry it’s late,” he said in a rough voice before turning and walking away from me down the hill.

“Stop with the third person crap. And don’t call me Gwen,” I demanded, and Orion shoved Darius in the arm, making him knock into me. “Call her Darcy, dipshit, or I’ll start calling you Demelza,” he growled, and Darius shrugged.
1. I love that darius calls them roxy and gwen. Idk why its like a quirk or something ig.
2. Who tf is Demelza? Certainly that cant be darius's full name…
