Performance Hack #35: Work like You Bake—in Batches A good way to handle multiple tasks in a day is to batch similar ones together and organise your day in chunks. Divide your day into periods of thirty minutes to two hours during which you work on a set of tasks without responding to email, phone calls, or any other interruptions. You can instead schedule chunks of time to do these tasks—take calls, reply to emails, or manage people. Your most important tasks might need the most amount of time and you might want to schedule them for periods of the day when you feel most energised.
