A Sweet Mess

“If that’s your final decision, then I have your back, but sometimes ‘crazy’ could be the right answer.”

“Speaking of my car, I can’t just leave it in the woods.” “Why not? It looks as though it belongs here—a primeval relic revered by the forest.” “Feeling poetic, are we?”

I guess it won’t hurt to embrace stability.”

“Why do people get uppity about being older than somebody? Is aging a personal accomplishment?”

“People say when something you enjoy becomes your full-time job, the joy gets sucked out of it.”

Truth

Work only becomes a vile word when your goals change to money or fame or whatever else the world entices you with.”

“I didn’t get much sleep last night. I promise to be better behaved once I finish my coffee.”

But love demanded the ultimate all-in. You can’t divide your heart and bet a safe portion.

“Fine. Just cook for me at home.” She yawned, tucking her chin against his chest. Home. “I’d love to,” he whispered. “I would love nothing more than to cook for you at home.”

“If I were a painter, I’d work day and night to blend the exact color of your blush.”

If you really love him, don’t let anything stand in your way. I know it’s scary, but this is a chance worth taking. You deserve to be happy.”

I’ll fight for us even if it means I have to carry you to do it. Trust me. I won’t drop you. Losing you means losing myself. I will never give up on us.
