Mary is in a different category altogether. In the Kingdom of God, Mary is the most elevated of all creatures, but St. Joseph outranks all the other saints. Please keep this distinction in mind as you make your way through the rest of the book. At times, it will seem as though saints, blesseds, and popes are claiming that St. Joseph is holier than Mary in their statements. Just remember — he isn’t.
