doorway. Every part of Bishop bristled as his doppelgänger, Asshole Boricio, welcomed Charlie like his long-lost brother. Something’s wrong. How the hell did he get out of his cell? Did he escape? If so, how many bodies did he leave behind?
Where is the guard, that was also infected, that escaped the mountain with Charlie???? Ryan said he felt Charlie AND a guard escape in a black van!!!!
Charlie: Nothing. Callie: He’s wrong about Charlie. Real Boricio will make sure everything’s okay. Ed: The crazy Boricio’s gotta go first. I’ll wipe that smug look off his face. Brent: At least she’s at the end of the world with her daughter. Mary: If anything happens, we run outside and grab a van ... Sorry, Luca. The girl: Charlie reminds me of John. Old Luca was sending nothing but static from upstairs, and that was slightly more than Boricio was pulling from Charlie. He hated the room’s tension, but at least that was something — the emptiness inside Charlie was chilling.
Brent placed his hand on the panel beside the door and said, “Lockdown Elevator Bay Three.” “Confirmed lockdown,” a computerized woman’s voice said. Boricio was glad that his security was reinstated enough to lock the elevator down. If Charlie woke up and got loose, things could get ugly.
“Stay here and protect the kids in the truck, can you?” Boricio asked. Callie looked inside, saw Old Man Luca and Paola, and nodded. Mary yelled, “I think someone needs to go get Luca.” He followed her gaze to Luca, cowering behind Nerdy Die Hard, who
How can Luca be in two different places at once unless the boy Luca is there as well !!!! Btw, where is young Luca????
Ryan turned to Mary and Paola. So much to say and no time to say it. “Stay safe so we can get through this. I promise I’ll explain everything.” He pointed toward the relative safety of the trucks. “No,” Mary shook her head. “We’re fighting, too.” She lifted her pistol for Ryan to see, then Paola did the same.
Rose clearly wanted none of that, wanted to know nothing, so she held her eyes to the window as Mary drove, following her cell phone’s directions and doing her best at pretending the night hadn’t happened. She would have to deal with it soon, after leaving Marina’s.
Paola might not have had questions, but Mary did. “What happens now?” Rose still stood vacant beside them, likely maybe she was finally thinking about last night’s events. “Nothing really,” Marina said. “We close it with you inside, then open it back in five minutes.” “There’s nothing to set? No dials, no readouts, nothing like that?” “No,” Marina said. “Nothing like that: It isn’t that type of machine.” “I’m ready,” Paola said, again, in case it wasn’t painfully obvious to everyone.
Luca grabbed the remaining bottles, shoved them into his pockets, and stood. His body ached, every movement felt as if he were breaking scar tissue, but he had to move forward. Not only had Dog Vader told him that he had to, but it was the first creature he’d seen in forever.
He put two bottles of water into his pockets??? Wow, must be some big-assed pockets as he is only 10 !!!!! And he put them in even before he stood up!!!!
The man gathered his composure, then leaned down from the chair, lifted Boricio’s shirt, then dug the knife’s tip into his skin, starting at the shoulder and dragging it all the way down, nearly to his wrist. Blood soaked the carpet as Boricio screamed, inside. Outside, he stayed

No phones, no Internet except in public places, and nothing that can be used to trace you specifically. Don’t give the government anything they can use to track you. Hell, you’re resourceful, Brent. I’m sure you’ll manage. I’ve got some cash in an envelope in the trunk. If I don’t come back take it. Use it to set yourself up somewhere.” “Do you think they’re waiting for you here? Do you think it’s a trap?”
He had stolen the car in New York, so where did the money come from? It's not like he could go to a bank or an ATM and withdraw thousands of dollars!!!!
Rose shoved her fingers into his mouth. Luca gagged, nearly puking. He didn’t because she held him down and told him not to. “Open up and let US in,” she said as black stuff rose in soupy strands around her and inched toward his open mouth. Luca screamed as he inhaled a Darkness that promised death to the world.
At the begining, while they were staying at that hotel (Drury ?) in the other world, the darkness couldn't enter/take Paola because she was too young and immature. Now it is entering Luca who is younger and less mature than she was. Why is this????
Boricio winked at Blondie. The giant yelled, “Come on, you fucker!” “Your GPS now working? I’m right here. And really, is fucker the best you got? Now technically, if I’d had another minute or two with your cock cozy that’s exactly what I’d be right now, but she smelled like the pussy you get at Goodwill so I passed,
Marina opened the door, still in her pajamas, and found herself in the monastery cellar: long, dark, and piled with old dusty boxes. Concrete walls and wooden beams brought thoughts of her early twenties, and old Parisian churches. A stairway led to another door, this one black with no knob — a deadbolt.
was wearing jeans and a shirt that weren’t hers. She’d never had a chance to grab her cell, purse, credit cards, or anything when Steven dragged her from bed and locked her in the estate’s subterranean crypt.
I thought she was on the couch sleeping after she drank herself to sleep. That is where Steven dragged her from!!!! Wasn't it???
Ed flipped on the tablet, synced to the tracking device he planted on the car while the two were inside the house. He watched as the beeping dot traveled two blocks. It turned south then east — giving the priest just enough time to ensure he wasn’t being tailed.
The Darkness stole his Morning Rose from her body, and the pedophile fuck who had been creeping on Paola.
Wasn't Paola and Mary living in Georgia or some other southern state (Colorado maybe?) when the paedo was looking at Paola?
Also, he left the paedo in his house after he killed him and then ran off. He didn't leave his body out in the middle of nowhere like Guard Tard said. See chapter 24.
He’d been following these two for long enough. They’d nearly gotten themselves killed back at the rich kid’s house. Ed had called Black Island to run interference with the local police, calling in favors to squash the investigation before it could start.
Boricio’s last clear memory was a plate of food being slid into his cell. Hard bread and some sort of cold crap that looked like chum slopped out from a can. Boricio was just hungry enough to eat the shit he wouldn’t have served to a dying mongrel, but couldn’t help picturing that gaggle of guards buttering his bread and barf slop with their baby gravy, chasing squirts with slapped asses like the merry band of butt ticklers they were.
At least that’s what Acevedo had thought prior to Harmon telling him that the vial contained another life force, something closer to God than we could fathom, and that he had to protect it at all costs and never allow anyone “impure” to open it.
Acevedo had dreamed that the boy would be here by now. It was 5:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. In his dream he’d looked at his watch, saw that the time was 5:00 p.m., then saw the boy with his sister and mom on the playground. Fifteen minutes later, and he’d yet to see the child or his family. Yeah, maybe I ought not to put so much faith in dreams.
First it says that he saw the boy, his sister and mother at the playground (5pm). But 15 minutes later and he still had NOT seen them!!!! Does not make sense.
“That’s not Desmond,” The Light said. She met his eyes, and saw that The Light inside her was right. There was something festering inside him — The Darkness. “You’re not Desmond.” “Ah, so you were on to me. I had a feeling, so I had to take some preemptive action. I hope you don’t take it personally.”
