I was continuing to train harder than ever for the Virgin Strive Challenge, which was fast approaching. Two years on from Sam’s hair-raising rescue off the summit of the Matterhorn, we were planning another adventure. This time I would join Holly, Sam, my nephew Noah and hundreds of others to travel more than 2,000 kilometers from the base of the Matterhorn to the summit of Mount Etna in Sicily.
