Because there was always some kind of “situation,” Pete took his time returning to Motor World. When he got there, he saw a woman behind the wheel of a go-kart with what looked like a scarf wrapped around her face. She clearly had no control of the vehicle, smashed through a chain-link fence, and was careening toward pedestrians, who screamed and jumped out of the way.
