I take a step back and then another one and another until I bump into the wall of the hallway where I sag down to the floor, my knees up and my face buried in my hands. I should call people. I should call her people. But I can’t. I have no words. No idea what I would say. It’s all my fault. I left her. I broke her heart, left her, and she was attacked.
