The Modern Break-Up

When I give someone a chance, it’s in the hope that maybe, just maybe, they will be the one I don’t have to play games with. Equal attraction, equal love, equal goals. Wouldn’t that be amazing? I know it’s not all a fairy tale. It’s real, with real problems, real feelings; that’s a relationship. And the moment we think it’s a fairy tale, we escape the reality needed to make it work or to deal with it when it doesn’t. Where do fairy tales exist anyway? In a book? In a movie? A movie is only two hours long, for God’s sake, not a whole lifetime.

At the end of the day, we choose who we dedicate our time to and who we allow in.

A life partner helps brings out the best in you; they don’t take advantage of your weaknesses.

You can’t force someone to evolve with you. It either happens naturally with effort from both sides, or it doesn’t happen at all.
