“I’m not so sure what’s more terrifying, the violent storm inside my head or the silence.” —Oliver Masters
“If reality becomes unbearable, close your eyes. We were made with an imagination.”
“When the night arrives, and all the stars have died, you are still not alone. I go through many phases, but I will never leave. When all is lost, wish upon me. —advice from the moon.” —Oliver Masters
“I’ll show you. Please, wait for me. Just stay with me, Mia.” “Even when you’re gone?” I placed my hands over her face and pulled her away so I could see her as my eyes watered. Fuck, I was about to break. She still had belief in the two of us. Somehow, she understood me. My lips met her forehead, and I breathed in the scent of her and buried it into my memory. “Especially when I’m gone.”
There are cracks, but now the light can shine through.
“If you don’t walk out of here with Mia, know there are other fish in the sea.” In an instant, my smile faded. “You don’t get it. Mia is the sea.”
“Let it go, love. Guilt looks horrible on you. It doesn’t match the color of your eyes.”
“I don’t know which I like better,” he said slowly, fingers tracing over my collarbone. “Watching you lose yourself on your own or being a part of it.”
“Sometimes all we need is someone who will sit in the dark with us.” —Oliver Masters
“I’m past the whole jealous part. Now? I’m just pissed,” Mia whispered. “What are you going to do about it, love?”
“Fuck, this is going to be embarrassingly quick.” “Talk to me, Ollie,” Mia rasped out before wrapping her wet lips around me taking me slow. I wanted to tell her that there were over two hundred thousand words in the English dictionary. Two hundred thousand. Zeke tried to lift his hands, and Ollie took them both and held them to his chest. “I did it. I saved her,” Zeke whispered through a cough. “Yeah, you did, my friend.” Ollie broke and forced a small smile over his wet face for him. “Mia, and Ollie, forever,” Zeke finally whispered with a hoarse throat. His eyes blinked closed as blood spread through his shirt.
“The only way to cheat death is by creating a love that will live forever.” —Oliver Masters
“He looked up to you. He loved you so much, and would have given you the world.” “That’s the thing, Mia. He gave me the fucking world, and I’m looking right at her. I couldn’t react quick enough. It could’ve so easily been you,” Ollie’s breathing shook, and he grabbed the side of my head and looked me in the eyes. “He did this for us. He did this so I wouldn’t spend my days drowning in tears and heartache. So, I refuse to cry. He deserves more than fucking tears. He deserves every smile I put on your face for the rest of my life. He deserves all the laughter, the stolen kisses, the lifetime of

“I won’t laugh. Promise.” “Fine.” I pumped my fist against my chest and cleared my throat. “Roses are black The skies are clear. I get wet when you are near. You’re the crack to my butt The whiskey to my drunk. How did I snag such a handsome hunk?”
“The only way to cheat death is by creating a love that will last forever,” Ollie whispered. My lashes parted, and we locked eyes. “That’s what I wrote.” Ollie’s eyes dropped to my mouth. My pulse skipped.
“We’re not out of the woods yet, but let’s kiss in the leaves while we’re here.” —Oliver Masters
