“Give me a year to get better, and I’ll give you a lifetime.”
“as long as I don’t stray too long or far, I always find my way back.”
“If you don’t walk out of here with Mia, know there are other fish in the sea.” In an instant, my smile faded. “You don’t get it. Mia is the sea.”
If I were honest with myself, she never belonged to me. She belonged to this world, and the only way to truly love her was to love her unselfishly. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have loved her at all.
“Ollie has that effect on people. He makes you believe in the impossible.”
“Kiss her crazy and love her insane.” —Oliver Masters
“Fall apart so we can fall in place, together,” I reassured him.
“Consuming, timeless, unselfish, love. I’d loved you in my darkest hour when I wasn’t myself, and I’ll love you in every lifetime after this.”
It hadn’t taken me long to realize it wasn’t worth it. Each step away from them felt lighter. What should have made me feel weak made me feel stronger. Walking away made me stronger.
“Give me a love so intoxicating, I never suffer a hangover.” —Oliver Masters
Together, we were untouchable to anyone and anything—pain, misery, loneliness. Not even death could pierce through our barrier. The whole world could be crumbling beneath us, waves crashing into us, the sun falling toward us at an impossible rate, and it would all be okay because we had each other.
My feet ate away at the distance—space never belonged between us.
“Perhaps the most dangerous man, is a man in love.” —Oliver Masters
“Sometimes all we need is someone who will sit in the dark with us.” —Oliver Masters
“Mia, and Ollie, forever,” Zeke finally whispered with a hoarse throat.
“He did this for us. He did this so I wouldn’t spend my days drowning in tears and heartache. So, I refuse to cry. He deserves more than fucking tears. He deserves every smile I put on your face for the rest of my life. He deserves all the laughter, the stolen kisses, the lifetime of feels, the sleepless nights of conversations … He deserves for us to live.”
“Roses are black The skies are clear. I get wet when you are near. You’re the crack to my butt The whiskey to my drunk. How did I snag such a handsome hunk?”
“To be honest,” Jake continued. “I never thought it would be Crap-bag standing next to me at the end of the road.”
