“I won’t risk leaving you alive to leave Islam. I will kill you before that happens. You will not drag me down to Hell with you.” She believed that she needed to kill me to save her soul. According to her religion, she saw no other choice. If she raised a daughter who became an apostate, then she would be punished for eternity. It would be her fault. Allah would punish her for it. She had to kill me to make sure that never happened.
