I guess you’re about to go back to radio silence so for what it’s worth… In Solaria blue means royal. And to me, blue means you.
“For the love of sanitary sausages, please tell me you aren’t bringing your depraved hobbies in here where we all eat our meals!” she cried. “It’s bad enough you paid a griffin to take a dump on your chest without bringing your randy rocket out with you for breakfast!”
“I’m here because I spend all of my spare time watching you and wanting to be like you, but you’re mean to me and won’t be my best friend forever like I sooo wish you would. So I decided to become you instead. I’m starting off by creeping up here to seduce your precious Darius and screw him senseless just to make you cry. Then I’m going to dye my hair the cheapest, shittiest shade of red I can find and finally I’ll become the head cheerleader because I fucking love being cheery. Mostly I’m going to do it because I’m obsessed with you but partly because I’m a psycho bitch who just wants to ruin

“You cheap ass gutter whore!” she snarled at me, stalking forward with more fire in her hands. “You and your idiot sister think you can just stroll in here and act like you own the damn place when we all know that you grew up with nothing and no one. Two sets of parents died rather than be stuck with you and then you couldn’t even find a mortal family to love you enough to keep you so they just bounced you from place to place like the unwanted trash you are. So why don’t the two of you just realise that no one wants you here either?”
“Did you just insult my sister?”
“You might want to remember this if you come at me again. Because I get the feeling you just threw the extent of your power at me, but I barely even scratched the surface of my magic in retaliation.”
“Why do you look so sad?” I whispered as my fingers slid down the side of his head, tickling his ear like I’d promised. He nuzzled his nose against my shoulder, and it was like he was aching for this contact. I wrapped my arms around his neck and squeezed him, trying to figure out why the hell I wanted to cry.
“I just want someone to make my heart beat faster,” she said in a low voice that had me drawing closer to her as I looked into her dark eyes. “To challenge me and make me laugh and push back against my bullshit. I want to be forced out of my comfort zone and I want to feel excited, exhilarated, afraid. But not just because you’re an asshole. Because I want to feel alive.”
“The wood burns hottest at the heart of the fire. The more hardship you face, the stronger you become.”
She wasn’t just a girl though. Not to me. She was the one girl I shouldn’t want, the one I couldn’t have, the one I didn’t need. And yet I did. And everything in my life could be damaged so badly by that need that I’d fought it tooth and claw up until this point.
“Because that’s what I do,” he said slowly. “I watch you and hunger for you and ache for you. It torments me like I torment you.”
“I’d find it easier to carve my eyes out than I would to stop them landing on you.”
“There are countless people who would say I’m not allowed to want you,” Darius breathed. “But you make me want to burn the whole world down so that I can claim you for my own.” “Then we should burn it down,” I agreed.
