“I mean. No.” Zoe leans against the lockers, staring at the floor. “Kind of. She should have held Blake accountable.” “Wait, what?” I raise my eyebrows. “She did break up with him. And why is holding him accountable her job anyway?” “Why are you defending her?” Zoe says. I blink. Zoe seems angry now, out of nowhere. She’s frowning at me, and I don’t understand why, but I can’t deal with this right now. “Please don’t be mad at me,” I say.
