He arrived wrapped in warning, of which I’d never heed. Every shade of gray, sunshine and rain-drenched days. A love that visited and never stayed. Again and again and again.

“You’re a flower bound to suffocate without sunshine, fresh air, and tasty nutrients.”
I was sixteen when I saw the boy I’d watched blossom into a young man kiss someone. Someone who wasn’t me. Someone who looked nothing remotely like me.
“I’m going to fall.” “So fall,” he said, low and confident. “I’ll be here to help you get back up.”
As if somehow, someway the vibrancy of the world had dripped away, and the only color that remained was us.
“You’re beautiful, but when you smile, you’re a portrait of starlit dreams.”
“Being with you, I’ve never felt anything more instinctual or more natural in my life.”
In a world filled with thorns and poisonous flowers, somehow, I was lucky enough to find you. My clover.
“Ever,” he mumbled. “You usually call me Ever.”

“I once thought the world of you.
“Love isn’t everything. It’s not what I need from you.”
“Grudges, betrayal—they burn longer and brighter, and can last a lifetime where love is concerned.”
“You don’t need to marry him to forgive him. To try again.”
need to know you forgive me before I take anything else from you.”
you’re worth believing in.”
To fall in love twice was a beautiful rarity. To be in love with two men at the same time was a cruel twist of fate.
I’d travel any path all over again if it would lead me back to them.
My only wish, the one that would keep me awake for years to come, would be for the
lost piece of my soul to one day feel...

I was born in shadows, and she’d radiated nothing but light.
“You look like you belong with me.”
Some people were stronger on their own. Some people were stronger due to the people they surrounded themselves with.
Souls were bound to knit to others. And where Everett was concerned, mine had stitched to his a long time ago.
