but God has already gone before you in this. He’s already connected your heart to theirs in a way only He can. I know the wait can feel excruciating while on this side of things, but it’s not in vain.

He sees what we cannot and does what we cannot. We must trust Him to provide in His time.

a woman who often reserved a pocketful of doubt that maybe God wouldn’t come through for her or that maybe she’d heard Him incorrectly or that maybe there was another woman, a wiser, better-equipped woman suited for such a calling. But last night Old Lauren had been replaced by an emboldened, ready-to-face-her-giants-and-tackle-the-world New Lauren.

I pleaded for God to help me, for His grace and compassion and every other available fruit of the Spirit to intervene and make them see, make them understand.

My testimony can be summed up in one phrase: God’s way is rarely easy, but it’s always better than mine.”
