And here was this thing, mental illness, that can be helped simply by talking about it. If Rick had been able to overcome the discrimination against mental illness in our society and in his own mind and talk to more people about what was going on, he could have gotten help, and then we wouldn’t be here. That’s not all there is to mental illness or suicide, I realize that, but if more people were able to freely speak about mental health, there is no doubt more of them would get help and improve and not die at the Discount Gun Mart.
