Feels anachronistic. This is essentially medieval times. Who sends applications? Also, are powerful mages so common that there are kingdoms who are turning away powerful mages?
As always, he felt comfortable at such heights, surveying the land around him from a safe distance. His elven eyes and ears made such a lofty vantage an easy way to spy on the less evolved humans.

I don't hunt, but I'm pretty sure the head is almost never the target while hunting. The skull is a pretty thick bone. Would this even work?
