Being a werewolf was a rare genetic thing, so packs were always concerned about breeding. The best chance for giving birth to more werewolves was when both parents were werewolves. Even then, it was only fifty-fifty.
This would indicate that werewolf genetics require a heterozygous gene match for the person to be a werewolf. It is not gender linked as there are female werewolves in the packs.
Arguably this would hold true for werecats and other werecreatures as well.
In the homozygous case were no werewolf gene is inherited the person will be pure human, but the other homozygous condition -- receiving the werewolf gene from both parents is unclear. Could it, perhap, always results in miscarriage, or failure to implant?
