After spending time in the Bitcoin and BitShares forums, Rune found it was refreshing that the Ethereum community was focused primarily on building innovative tech, rather than on any particular ideology. Back home in Copenhagen, he decided to start an Ethereum-based stablecoin. He didn’t know how to code, but taught himself the basics in two weeks and was able to get a bare-bones system running, which he announced in a March 2015 Reddit post.
