As long as you are making consistent deposits, it’s okay to approach your boss and ask to discuss a raise. But whatever you do, do not start that conversation by pointing out how long you’ve been at the company. If someone comes to me talking about how long they’ve been around, all they’re doing is giving me confirmation that it might be time for me to get them the fuck out of there!
