I jog over and grab the ball before holding out my hand to her. “Let me help you up?” She puts her hand in mine, and I grip her waist as I draw her to her feet. “Okay, we good? You feel steady on your feet?” “You didn’t hit me in the head,” she says. “No, I’m saving that for next time.” I chuckle when she side-eyes me warily as we walk to where everyone is waiting.
