I love walking for all sorts of reasons – but near the top of the list is that I find it the best way to clear the clamour of the day from my head. Walking gives me the freedom to think things through; to have a quiet dialogue with myself about how to solve a problem. The problems may be mundane, but are nonetheless important to me. And I’m not alone. Since antiquity it has been recognised that a good walk is an excellent way to think problems through.
