They didn’t want to see him function at home better than people with two working legs as he managed dinner, bath time, and an unruly toddler. They didn’t care that he could manage a three-year-old melt down over no ice pops after dinner because she hadn’t eaten her greens.
“Don’t say yes, and don’t say no,” Niko pressed. “Just say that you’ll make me your last-ditch effort if everything else fails. Because I don’t care if you never pay me back, okay?
