Navigating in a space that questions your humanity isn’t really living at all. It’s existing. We all deserve more than just the ability to exist.

When you have that type of blood running through your veins, you learn that standing in the face of fear is a part of your DNA.

You must remember: No matter how it comes at you, the impact matters more than the intent. You are not some lab rat on display. If someone asks you a question and you have to squint your eyes and twist your face a little to make sure you heard them correctly, you’ve probably just dealt with a microaggression.

The boy who knew he was “different” now stands proudly knowing he is queer.

Caring for older human beings is truly a blessing. They are our living ancestors and something they did paved a way for us to exist. It’s the least that we can do to care for them.

No one has the right to deny us the resources we need to properly engage with one another.
