The bomb was about three-quarters of a mile off target, northwest of the planned aiming point, but it still managed to do the job it had been intended to do. Exploding at the midpoint between the Mitsubishi Steel and Arms Works in the south, and the Mitsubishi-Urakami Ordnance Works in the north, the bomb demolished both factories.
