They won’t believe a thing we say. Yes, we can prove it eventually, but eventually is too late.

“I was alone today. I’m alone every day, actually. I call people. Lynn comes over sometimes. So does Janice. I see you almost every night and every morning. But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m alone every day. You’re not really here, even when you’re here. You know what I mean? My girls aren’t here, even when I’m looking at their pictures. I don’t feel them anymore.”
