The ancient Greeks defined two very different types of time. Chronos is linear, discrete clock time. Marching inexorably from past to present to future. A horizontal move through space. We’re all overly acquainted with Chronos these days—never enough of it, life ripping by in the rearview mirror. Frantic and bored at the same time.
