This argument appears in a treatise about the eternity of the world ascribed to Siger of Brabant.5 Believe it or not, Siger actually raises the example of which comes first, the chicken or the egg. His answer is that every egg is preceded by a chicken, to infinity. About time we got an answer to that question.
