We make choices every day that don’t seem important. Usually, they’re not. But every once in a while, something big happens. It’s impossible to predict; you’ll drive yourself crazy if you try.”
I read about this one politician who claims he’s out for the little guys that has solid gold elevators, gold plant pots, and gold ceilings in his home (one of his homes anyway). Serious douche-canoe alert. Talk about trying too hard; no amount of money could make that guy cool.
Dad snaps as I glance over at him, realizing in that moment that every asshole thing he does, every barked command and sneer … is because he’s my parent. And parents, parents are dicks. Even good parents. Especially good parents. Because sometimes teenagers are rebellious little ass pigs.
